Daytona Beach... Watch us grow and become a part of it!
One Daytona
A pair of research firms say One Daytona is the mixed use and entertainment destination scheduled for construction across from Daytona International Speedway. It will have a massive economic impact on both the City of Daytona Beach and Volusia County.
Once Phase 1 is completed, One Daytona is expected to employ more than 3,100 workers and create another 1,200 permanent jobs that will produce annual wages in excess of $120 million and have a total annual economic impact of $369 million.
Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe
Once completed, the Hard Rock will be the first new full-service hotel built in Daytona Beach in the past 20 years. The 375,000 square foot beach side facility would be Hard Rock's 4th cafe in Florida, joining others in South Florida, Orlando and Tampa. It is expected to be 30 stories tall and include a 250-seat Hard Rock Cafe with bars and lounges. It will also feature 250 hotel rooms and 100 condominium units, the vast majority of which should have ocean-front views.
Also in the plans are over 28,000 square feet of ballroom and banquet facility space, a pair of Rock Star suites, a workout facility, a spa, a pool, a beach side bar and grill and a recording studio where hotel guests can write and record their own music. Bayshore representatives claim the construction project will create 700 to 800 jobs in construction alone and 300 to 400 well-paying permanent jobs for the site.
Trader Joe's Distribution Center
Trader Joe's East Inc. would allow for the construction of a new 600,000 to 800,000 square-foot regional distribution center on a vacant site in the Daytona Beach area. The center will be built right near the intersection of interstates 95 and 4 in Daytona Beach.
The project is estimated to bring about 450 permanent jobs to the area, while also at least 600 temporary construction jobs. Additionally, having a big-name niche grocer like Monrovia, California based Trader Joe's, set up a warehouse/distribution operation in Daytona also could help attract more such businesses to the region.
Daytona Rising
Daytona Rising is a $400 million overhaul in progress at Daytona International Speedway with front stretch grandstands. Though we have a rich heritage of sand and speed, we are now being noticed for more than the epicenter of NASCAR and a tourism destination. Florida is projected to be a national leader in job growth.
